Dear Carla,
We are nearly there,
That much coveted thirty,
One more post from you.
Did you enjoy that haiku? Seriously, that was some haiku-magnificence right there Carla so love every minute of it. You need to complete your challenge from yesterday – I’m really looking forward to the response.
Why is isohunt.com down? Right when I wanted to legally download the Hush Sound’s albums! Oh, and Lost of course – which apparently was mind-blowing.
This is a first, you know (or at least I think so) – I am writing this letter before school, which I don’t even have for another month! Sorry if this offends anyone but this is needed:
FUCK YES!
Yes, a much needed addition to my letter. Oh, in response to your word Carla – it totally reminded me of this evil, vindictive, menacing, nasty, horrible, going-to-hell, boy named Will in my year. He thinks he knows everything about films but really, has the worst taste in the world.
Speaking of films – in English we’re watching this film called the Dead Poets’ Society. You’ve probably heard of it – but what I wanted to say is how poor that film is. I just checked on IMDB, and it got a 7 out of 10. It should get half of that. I’m sorry if anyone loves that film but here’s why I dislike it in a critical review: Firstly, the score is incredibly cheesy, even for a 1989 film – and any film with a bad score, is a bad film. Music makes cinematography – Hitchcock always got music right as did any other classic film. The Third Man is scored with just a single instrument and has an amazingly powerful score especially in the famous Orson Welle’s in the doorway scene. The lines in the Dead Poets’ Society (DPS) are poorly written. They attempt to stir something in the viewer, but end up leaving them laughing, or just puzzled. Each scene ends with a “I’m going to inspire you” type of line, which just makes you cringe. The acting, too, is just poor. I’ve forgotten the characters name, but one of them tries for a play and his reaction to getting the part is so awfully pulled off. Whether it’s the direction or not, it’s just an awful, awful film. Sorry if you love it or something…
Ben quite clearly
Is not a fan of bad films,
Like these made today.
The haiku about me, see? I slipped them in.
Speaking of films of today (what segways I have today! “Speaking of” “Oh”) – why does Hollywood butcher childrens’ books? Tintin? Alice In Wonderland? Just back off, Holywood – leave some stones that you could find money under, unturned.
Ah, fuck! I just got the fright of my life. This random X-Files music started playing from nowhere. My heart is beating at four hundred miles an hour right now, so this letter will be cut short. I may do live P.S’s as the day progresses who knows. (Holy shit, that rhymed).
Lots of love,
Your early bird friend,
Ben.
P.S: crocker: n. adj. kroh-kerr – 1A word to describe someone who is overly defensive about something 2Someone who looks like a woman, but is actually a man. e.g: Did you see that crocker back there? He just got really crocker about his dog!
P.P.S - 9.39 My first letters were so short! I guess it’s because we didn’t have challenges and shiz. Or at least I hope so.
P.P.P.S - 9.41 The fucking CONTROL key, why does it have to be so close to the shift key? I am now officially booked to feed my neighbour’s cat.
P.P.P.P.S - 10.16 I have been listening to the same song for about an hour now…
P.P.P.P.P.S - 11.39 Still listening…and isohunt is back up!
