Ben and Carla are fanatics about art. They draw, paint, photograph – you name it, they’ve done it. So here is a page dedicated to showcase this purpose. Not all of their artwork is up here, but you can find a good amount. The rest of it is either forgotten in old drawers or on their deviantart pages.
TOOLS OF THE TRADES
PHOTOGRAPHY
Ben uses a Canon 450D, with the following lenses: semi-fisheye, 10-20mm, 18-55mm, 28mm Macro and 52mm Macro. His accessories include a tripod and a lens hood and he edits his photos with Photoshop CS.
Carla uses a Nikon D60 with a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens. As for accessories, Carla owns UV filters and a star filter as well as a tripod, monopod, and a lens hood. She edits her photos with Picasa, Photoshop 7, or her main editor of choice: the GIMP.
OTHER ART FORMS
Although Ben’s first love is photography, he loves pencil sketching or dry point print. His favorite subject would probably be the human body–his favorite being hands and eyes–while he loves Faber-Castell pencils.
Carla’s first obsession is cartooning, though she now tries realistic drawing. She loves painting–watercolor, to be more specific–and she generally uses whatever brand is cheapest. Her color pencil collection ranges from Dick Blick brands to a couple of prismacolors, and you can spot some Staedler markers in there as well. She also likes some random art forms, like sewing little puppets and creating stop-motion movies with little clay people she creates.
Both artists use Waacom Tablets which they absolutely adore.
